Question raised on government statistics, Corona's health

Questions have been arising over the last few days on the death toll from the hospital and corona announced by the government in the capital Delhi. The government has figured out a way to avoid questioning the hospital and the government's separate figures. The Health Bulletin has removed data on deaths in hospitals. A major change was seen in the Delhi Government Health Bulletin released on Thursday. This was not the death toll in hospitals, removed from the bulletin.

Total deaths were reported in the bulletin but it was not told how many deaths occurred in which hospital, while the report till Wednesday had this information. Deleting information about death in hospitals will make it a little harder to question the death toll. The Delhi government informed the data till 12 pm on Wednesday. According to the bulletin, the total death toll from Corona has risen to 115. There are 9 more deaths on Thursday than Wednesday's report. This death has been declared by the Audit Committee. However, there was no death from Corona in 24 hours.

According to the Health Bulletin, corona cases have increased to 8470. In the last 24 hours, 472 corona positive patients were confirmed. This is the highest number ever. Earlier on May 7, 448 patients were identified in 24 hours. At the same time, 187 patients recovered and went to their home in 24 hours. The figure for those who recover has also increased to 3045. Corona's active patients are 5310. According to the bulletin, there are 1607 patients admitted to hospitals. It has 145 ICUs and 121 ventilators. Max, Saket has the highest number of 32 patients in ICU. AIIMS has the maximum number of 16 patients on the ventilator. As of Wednesday, the government had reported 106 deaths. Of these, 86 deaths occurred in Kovid hospitals, while 20 deaths occurred in other hospitals.

4 Employees working in RML doctors mess positive

Four employees working at the doctor mess of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital of the central government have been found to be Corona positive. All of these employees have mild symptoms and are placed in isolation. Earlier 22 health workers of the hospital have also been affected by Corona infection. Two of the first infected doctors have returned to work after recovering. 16 other employees who come in contact with the employees have been marked and quarantined.

^Till now the government was giving details of death from corona in hospitals, the number of deaths started coming up when the Delhi government removed the name of the hospitals from the column of death report. The government should give the correct figures of deaths from corona in all hospitals, so that the public can learn from the corona deaths and avoid exposure to epidemic infections.

- Manoj Tiwari, State President, BJP

^ Kejriwal tell that the Delhi Government had taken Corona's suggestion to the public, did the people of Delhi suggested that the name of the hospital be removed from the death toll from Corona? The Kejriwal government is constantly lying to the people of Delhi on the matters of Maitha, constantly hiding the death toll.

This is explained through a graph. The possible time of ending corona from every country of the world is also told. Because according to estimates, the time to finish the corona in China was reported as 9 April 2020. The same day China opened the lockdown in Wuhan. Although there are some cases still coming in China, but their number is not much.

What are the symptoms of coronavirus (Covid-19)? and how can it protection?

April 21, 2020 Add Comment

So far, more than one thousand 70 thousand people have died from coronavirus worldwide. Also, in case of infection, it has crossed 25 lakh.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was also among the patients infected with this virus, but after treatment he has recovered. He is resting these days after the negative report of Corona.

We are telling you here how the corona virus infection spreads and what you can do to avoid it.

Corona virus infects your lungs. Its two basic symptoms are fever and dry cough. Many times a person also has difficulty in breathing due to this.

The cough caused by corona is not a common cough. This can cause a persistent cough, that is, you may have a persistent cough for an hour or more and you may have at least three such seizures within 24 hours. But if you have a cough, it can be a matter of concern.

Due to this virus, the temperature of the body can rise up to 37.8 ° C, due to which the person's body can become hot and feel cold. The person may also feel shivering in the body.

It may also cause a sore throat, headache and diarrhea. According to a recent recent research, the lack of taste and the smell of something can also be a symptom of the corona virus.

It is believed that it may take an average of five days for the corona virus to start showing symptoms, but in some people it may be shorter.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), there may be up to 14 days between the time the virus reaches the body and shows symptoms.

When is the need for hospitalization?

Most of the people who have corona virus infection can be cured by taking rest and pain reducing medicines like paracetamol.

The need to be hospitalized is when the person starts having trouble breathing. By examining the lungs of the patient, the doctor ascertains how much the infection has increased and whether the patient needs oxygen or ventilator.

But in this, the patient does not have to be admitted to the emergency department of the hospital i.e., accident and emergency.

Every information related to corona infection has been given on the website of the Department of Health and Family Welfare in India. British citizens can take all information related to Corona on the website of NHS 111.

If the patient is having difficulty in breathing, then he can contact the Government of India helpline number + 91-11-23978046 or the 24 hour toll free number 1075. Various states of the country have also started helplines for citizens where a call can be made if needed.

At the same time, in case of emergency in the UK, people can contact on 999 number.

What happens in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)?

Intensive care units are special wards of hospitals where critically ill patients are kept.

Here, the need of oxygen of patients of Corona virus is fulfilled by applying oxygen mask on the mouth or through a tube in the nose.

People who are seriously ill are kept on ventilator. Here more supply of oxygen is delivered directly to the lungs. For this, a tube is placed in the mouth of the patient or by making an incision in the nose or throat, oxygen is given from there to the lungs.

How danger is the corona virus?

Compared to the statistics of corona virus infection, the number of people killed is extremely low. Although these figures cannot be relied on completely, if the data is to be believed, the death rate due to infection can be only one to two percent.

Currently, treatment is being done for thousands of infected people in many countries and the death toll may increase.

A World Health Organization study based on information gathered about 56,000 infected people suggests that -

  1. 6% people became seriously ill due to this virus. These included lung failure, septic shock, organ failure and risk of death.
  2. Severe signs of infection were seen in 14 percent of the people. There were problems in breathing and problems like breathing quickly.
  3. Minor signs of infection were seen in 80 percent of people, such as fever and cough. Pneumonia due to this was also seen in many.

Older people and those already suffering from respiratory disease (asthma) due to corona virus infection, those facing problems like diabetes and heart disease are more likely to become seriously ill.

Treatment of corona virus is based on helping the patient's body breathe and increasing the body's immunity so that the person's body is able to fight the virus itself.

The work of making corona virus vaccine is still going on.

If you come in contact with an infected person, then you can be advised to stay away from others for a few days.

Public Health England has said that those who think they are infected should avoid going to the doctor, pharmacy or hospital and seek information on the phone or online from the health workers in their area.

Those who have returned to Britain after traveling to other countries have been advised to separate themselves from others for a few days.

Other countries have also taken steps like closing school colleges and canceling public meetings in their own countries to avoid this virus.

The World Health Organization has also released information about ways to take precaution for the people.

Upon seeing signs of infection, the person should contact their local healthcare officer or employee. Those who have come in contact with the corona virus infected person in the past will be investigated.

All the patients arriving at the hospital who have symptoms of flu (cold cold and shortness of breath) will be examined by the Health Service Officer.

You will be asked to wait until the test results are out and keep yourself away from others.

How to protect yourself from corona virus?

To avoid corona virus ie 'Kovid 19', you wash your hands regularly with soap and water.

When someone infected with the corona virus coughs or sneezes, very fine particles of their spit are spread in the air. These particles contain viruses of the corona virus.

These viral particles can enter your body by way of breath when approaching an infected person.

If you touch a place where these particles have fallen and then touch your eye, nose or mouth with the same hand, then these particles reach your body.

In this case, using tissue while coughing and sneezing, not touching your face without washing your hands and avoiding contact with the infected person are very important to prevent the virus from spreading.

According to medical experts, face masks do not provide effective protection.

As the novel coronavirus continues to ravage populations around the world, with more than 2 million cases confirmed, millions of people are self-quarantining at home in a global effort to check the virus' spread. Still, a rare breed of people selflessly go about their daily lives, offering aid to those infected and helping maintain a sense of order while the rest of us shelter in place.

Google is honoring those heroes with a series of appreciation doodles featuring medical personnel, emergency workers, scientists, custodians, farmers, grocery store employees and public transportation drivers. On Friday, Google turned its spotlight to teachers and child care workers.

For many people, especially those deemed essential workers, being able to stay home with children is something that just isn't an option, so child care workers become essential workers. The risk to their health is as great as anyone who has to come in very close contact with multiple people, and they often have their own children to take care of at the same time.

Teachers face a different set of challenges. Instead of being in contact with their students, they're isolated, which has its own emotional impact on teachers and students alike. Teachers have had to adapt their lesson plans to a remote classroom setting and technologies and programs that many have never dealt with before. This is certainly no extended school break for many students and teachers, who often have children of their own they have to keep an eye on.

For that dedication, and the dedication of all coronavirus heroes and helpers, Google says thank you.

Google has also used its doodles to remind us of lesser-known real-world heroes, ones who have long since left this world. Then there are the people who are out there doing good things right now who we can thank right now.

Google recognizes food service workers during the coronavirus outbreak.

Google

On Thursday, Google saluted food service workers, who under the specter of coronavirus have to factor in more safety measures to prevent contracting or transmitting the disease. The restaurant industry has been hit hard by the outbreak, with millions of cooks, servers and bartenders losing their jobs. The National Restaurant Association estimates the outbreak will cost the industry $225 billion.

And still, many restaurants stay open for to-go orders, helping them stay in business while providing food to people not always in a position to cook at home, especially essential workers during a long drive or out on an emergency call. Food service rules have been radically rewritten, with dining rooms closed and food ordering and pickup limited by the new standards for social distancing.

Google Doodle thanks packaging, shipping and delivery workers.

Google

On Wednesday, Google focused its spotlight on those who package, ship and deliver goods we need. Consumer demand for goods purchased online has spiked during the crisis. Shoppers now rely even more on e-commerce companies like Amazon to deliver food, toiletries and other staples while they're asked to stay home.

Any interruption in the workflow could reduce or delay shipments. The workers are also placing their own health at risk as recent studies have shown that the coronavirus can live on cardboard for up to 24 hours.

Google Doodle salutes public transportation drivers who help us perform essential visits.

Google

On Tuesday, Google saluted the men and women who keep public transit moving. Even though we're being advised to stay at home as much as possible, some people need get to essential jobs and make other necessary trips, such as going to doctor appointments and grocery shopping. And for many people without cars of their own, these essential trips wouldn't be possible without transportation systems and the drivers that keep them moving.

Bus and train operators put their health at risk by continuing to go into work each day so that people without access to their own vehicle can still get around. You can help make their jobs just a little bit easier by observing the rules of social distancing while on public transportation and waiting in line to get on -- and every where else, for that matter. Also, practice good hygiene.

The latest Google Doodle thanks grocery store workers.

Google

On Monday, Google saluted grocery store employees. Despite shelter in place orders, we still need to buy food and other necessary items. Grocery store shelves are replenished and purchases are rung up by employees whose jobs place them at greater risk of exposure to the virus.

Several grocery store workers have tested positive for coronavirus and some have died from COVID-19. Two employees at a Chicago-area Walmart have died from the disease, prompting the retailer to install sneeze guards at registers and limit the number of customers in stores.

This Google Doodle honors the farmers and farmworkers who keep food flowing to our tables.

Google

On April 10, Google honored agricultural workers, who keep the food flowing to the marketplace. Their work makes them especially vulnerable to the virus. Often they're immigrants living in the US without legal permission. Field workers have been deemed by the federal government to be an "essential" part of the country's food supply who have a "special responsibility to maintain [their] normal work schedule."

They continue to work despite conditions that don't allow them to shelter in place or self-quarantine. Their working and living conditions don't allow for much social distancing and these brave souls often work without the promise of paid sick leave. But still they work, helping put food on our table.

Google says thank you to custodial and sanitation workers keeping our hospitals and other medical institutions running during the pandemic.

Google

On April 9, Google honored America's 4.4 million janitors and domestic workers who scrub down surfaces in hospitals and other medical institutions where pathogens might live because, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes, "current evidence suggests that SARS-CoV-2 may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials."

The CDC says the best way to combat this is "cleaning of visibly dirty surfaces followed by disinfection." Accustomed to handling corrosive chemicals and lifting heavy objects, these workers are now potentially coming into contact with the deadly coronavirus. Yet, they continue to do their jobs, despite often lacking training and equipment to adequately protect themselves from the virus.

Google sends a little love to emergency services personnel, such as firefighters and police officers, who are battling the coronavirus.

Google

On April 8, the doodle honored the firefighters and police officers who go out every day, responding to emergency situations and rendering aid. To do their jobs, officers and firefighters frequently come in very close contact with other people, some of whom might be infected with coronavirus. Yet they still show up for work, day after day.

In New York City, the US epicenter of the outbreak, more than 1,000 police officers and 280 members of the fire department have tested positive.

Google expresses gratitude to doctors, nurses and other medical workers.

Google

The doodle on April 7 honored the doctors, nurses and other medical personnel who are working long hours, under emotionally and physically stressful conditions, often with inadequate protection. These selfless people have to balance their work with the risk posed to their personal health and to the safety of their loved ones. While many of us shelter in place, they're making a conscious decision to expose themselves to patients suffering from COVID-19.

Keep track of the coronavirus pandemic.

They have lives just like everyone else, including family that many now have to avoid for safety's sake, to prevent the possibility of spreading the virus. Doctors who sleep in the garage when their shift is over to avoid contact with their spouse and children. Nurses who worry about the care their elderly parents are receiving because they haven't seen them for weeks.

They have lives they're putting at risk to care for the rest of us.

Google thanks public health workers and researchers in the scientific community battling the coronavirus.

Google

The first doodle, which arrived with the series' debut on April 6, was dedicated to public health workers and scientific researchers. They're working hard to mitigate extensive transmission in the community.

Developing a new vaccine takes time and the preparations must be rigorously tested and confirmed safe via clinical trials before they can be routinely used in humans. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the US, has frequently said that a coronavirus vaccine is at least a year to 18 months away.

Google Doodle Thanks Food Service Workers on Frontline of Coronavirus Pandemic

April 18, 2020 Add Comment

Today's Google Doodle celebrates those in the food service, in the latest of a series thanking essential workers on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic. The Doodle features the G of the word Google sending a heart to the E, which is dressed in a chef's hat and can be seen preparing and packaging food.
The Google Doodle series began on April 6, and is expected to end tomorrow. So far, Google has thanked grocery store workers, farmworkers and farmers, custodial and sanitation workers, emergency service workers, doctors, nurses, medical workers, public health workers, scientific researchers, packaging, shipping, and delivery workers, and now food service workers.
The Google Doodle today is captioned: "As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, people are coming together to help one another now more than ever. We're launching a Doodle series to recognize and honor many of those on the front lines.

"Today, we'd like to say: To all food service workers, thank you."

While many restaurants have had to close due to the pandemic, some restaurants are operating with take-out or delivery services. Some restaurants are going the extra mile and giving back to their communities with free meals for essential workers and schoolchildren. Newsweek has been highlighting these food service workers and others in our "Heroes of the Pandemic" series.
This week, Newsweek reported that Marco's Pizzas in Northwest Arkansas is giving away food to children who are missing out on free school meals due to education closures.
Nick Morgan, the owner of three Marco's Pizzas stores, started the scheme. Morgan told Newsweek: "It's the right thing to do, give back what you can give. You give to give, you never look into someone else's bowl to see if they have more than you, you look to see if they have enough."
Last week, Newsweek reported that a restaurant in Westchester, New York, stared a program allowing customers to donate to pay for meals for "health care workers, first responders, COVID-19 victims, those in quarantine, the elderly and those facing financial difficulties due to lack of work."
Additionally, Newsweek reported that a couple in Queens, New York, launched the Lifeline Food Packages, a program that ensures that a box of fresh food and staple items will be delivered weekly to families in need.
As the owner of a food website and a chef, Kim Calichio and Omar Bravo, respectively, used their connections to produce the food packages.
"Each box includes enough food for a family of four for a week," Calichio told Newsweek, and includes "bread, meat, nut or cow milk, grains or pasta, toilet paper, soap, and fresh fruit and veggies. It's important to us that we are providing high density, nutritious foods to families and supporting our local economy."

Coronavirus: Eden Project concerts postponed

A series of concerts due to be held at the Eden Project have been postponed as a result of the Covid19
Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, and My Chemical Romance were amongst the artists due to perform in Cornwall this summer.
The Eden Project said performances would be rescheduled and it was "working hard" to ensure the acts were available next year.
Original tickets will remain valid for the future shows, a spokesperson said.
"Organisers have been closely assessing the impacts of the global coronavirus pandemic and decided that to ensure the safety and wellbeing of concert-goers, artists, crews, Eden Sessions staff and supporting teams, the Sessions could not go ahead this year.
"We send our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding while we have worked through these unprecedented times to reach this decision."
The Eden Sessions has been running since 2002, with profits going towards the project's environmental work, and hopes to return in 2021.
