New Delhi: A nationwide lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 lockdown has been extended to May 31, with the Interior Ministry announcing on Sunday what detailed guidelines for lockdown 4.0 are allowed as well What else is not allowed. .

It is allowed here:

Inter-State movement of passenger vehicles and buses with mutual consent of the respective States and Union Territories.

Hotels, restaurants will be allowed to operate kitchens for home delivery of food items.

In malls in all areas to open all markets and all shops.

Sports activities are permitted, stadiums and sports complexes will remain open but spectators are not allowed.

Here's what is suspended:


  • All domestic, international air travel of passengers except domestic air ambulance is prohibited till 31 May.
  • Train services will be suspended except for labor trains and special trains.
  • Religious sites and activities remain suspended. The religious congregation is completely banned.
  • Schools, colleges and other educational institutions will remain closed till 31 May.
  • All cinema halls, shopping malls, gymnasiums, swimming pools, amusement parks, theaters, bars and auditoriums remain closed.


All other activities will be permitted, except those which are specifically prohibited.

Keeping in view the parameters shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the marking of the Red, Green and Orange zones will be decided by the respective State and Union Territory Governments.

In the construction zone, only necessary activities will be allowed. Further, depending on the assessment of the situation, the States / Union Territories may prohibit certain other activities in various areas or impose such restrictions if deemed necessary.
