Selected pictures of the poignant stories of the real migration of the biggest migrants taking place after independence

From the first week of May, the migration of migrants from Maharashtra to Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and other states had intensified. Most of them were laborers. Photographs of these migrants starved, pedestrianized, loaded into truck-temps began appearing on newspapers, TV channels and digital media platforms.

Dainik Bhaskar was sending you stories of migration of these migrants for the last five days. Directly from there, the way most migrants leave Maharashtra and reach their homes in other states.

The attempt was that you might also be aware of the reality of this biggest exodus after independence and the poignant stories related to it.

With this goal, our journey started from Dhane in Mumbai at 1 pm on 17 May. We crossed the Maharashtra-Madhya Pradesh border via the Nashik highway and then reached Indore via Jhansi and Prayagraj.

Tried to take you directly to that highway and the villages of those migrants through 100 hours of live reporting and 16 reports in a journey of more than 1500 km. In this journey, we took some pictures, collected them together in this photo story-
